Using Lavie

What does "Free to spend" mean?

It's the money you can still spend until your next payday: the income in this cycle, minus what you've already spent, the bills still due before payday, and what Lavie sets aside for your goals.

How do I change my payday?

Open Settings (top of the Now screen) and tap Payday. You can choose the day of the month and what happens when it falls on a weekend.

How do I add a repeating bill or income?

Tap + and choose an expense or income, then pick how often it repeats. Repeating items appear in the Plan tab, where you can edit or stop them.

How do goals work?

Give a goal a target and a number of paydays. Lavie sets aside the same amount each payday before it works out your Free to spend.

Can I use more than one currency?

Yes. Choose your base currency in Settings. Entries in other currencies are converted with daily exchange rates from the European Central Bank.

How does statement import work?

Choose a PDF, image or CSV statement. Lavie reads the file on your iPhone and, with your permission, sends only its text to DeepSeek, an AI service, to find the transactions. You review everything before it's added, and likely duplicates are flagged on your device.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, Lavie also keeps a copy in your own private iCloud account. We don't run servers that store your data.

How do I back up or move my data?

Go to Settings › Your data › Export a backup to save a complete JSON copy. To restore it, use Import a backup and choose Merge (add to what's there) or Replace (make Lavie exactly the backup).

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app to remove everything stored on your iPhone. If you used iCloud sync, also remove Lavie's data in the Settings app › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.

What's included?

Widgets, a look ahead at your next three paydays, cycle reviews, unlimited goals and currencies, iCloud sync, your full Insights history, and unlimited affordability checks and statement imports.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open the Settings app › your name › Subscriptions, or manage subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. If you're on a free trial, Lavie reminds you 2 days before it ends.

I bought Lavie Plus but it isn't showing

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account, then go to Settings › Restore Purchases.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
